Jennifer Burdman is an Intellectual Property strategist and advisor to biotechnology companies, and former partner in an international law firm. She currently serves as Vice President for Intellectual Property at Valo Health. Jennifer is responsible for developing/implementing Company IP strategy and counseling executive management and board of directors on all matters relating to the acquisition, protection, licensing, and enforcement of intellectual property rights. She has extensive experience as first-chair trial lawyer in complex, high-stakes litigation in patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and contract disputes involving intellectual property. Experience in negotiating and drafting array of commercial contracts including procurement, strategic alliances, and sales and marketing. Jennifer also has expertise in managing large trial teams and supervising professional and nonprofessional staff.
Jennifer has recently been named one of the “Top 25 Women Leaders in Biotechnology of 2020″ by The Healthcare Technology Report. National Law Journal named her a “Rising Star” (40 under 40) in Washington, D.C. for 2015. She was also been profiled as a Law360 “Rising Star” in 2016; and named to Law360’s 2016 Intellectual Property Editorial Advisory Board. Jennifer also made Benchmark Litigation’s “Under 40 Hot List” in 2016 and 2017.
