Professional Responsibility and Practice Before the USPTO
This one-hour ethics presentation will cover the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Rules of Professional Conduct. Specifically, the presentation will discuss: (1) Rules and laws relating to the practice before the Office; (2) Disciplinary and grievance procedures followed by the Office of Enrollment and Discipline, including the types of discipline practitioners are subject to; (3) Rules and cases relating to conflicts of interest; (4) Rules and cases relating to improper signatures and the failure to supervise; (5) the unauthorized practice of law; (6) commingling funds and client trust violations; and (7) deceit and conduct prejudicial.
One hour Ethics MCLE approved in Texas.
